How to Get to Pollonia & Nearby Beaches
From the Port of Milos (Adamas)
Pollonia is located about 10 km from the port, and the journey takes approximately 15-20 minutes.
Transportation Options:
Car: Rent one at the port and drive toward Zefyria, then continue to Pollonia.
Taxi: Costs around €25-€30. Booking in advance is recommended.
Bus: There are regular routes (25-30 minutes). Check the schedule at KTEL Milos.
From MilosWaves to the Beaches in Pollonia
MilosWaves is ideally located just 200 meters from Pollonia Beach, sandy, family-friendly, with calm waters and cafés nearby.
From MilosWaves to Papafragkas Caves
Papafragkas is one of the most unique and photogenic spots in Milos, featuring dramatic sea caves, turquoise waters, and a narrow sandy cove nestled between towering cliffs. The area is steeped in natural beauty and archaeological significance, as it’s located near the ancient city of Phylakopi.
Access:
By foot or car: Papafragkas is just 7-10 minutes by car or a 45-minute walk from MilosWaves (if you are feeling like exploring on foot). Follow the coastal road west from Pollonia.
Parking: There is a small parking area near the site entrance.
Caution: The old carved staircase down to the beach is steep and slippery, not recommended for children or anyone with mobility issues.
Note: Swimming is not officially advised due to safety concerns, but visitors often come to admire the view, explore the caves from above, and photograph the striking landscape.
